Sister Kate's Home Kids Aboriginal Corporation
Project Description
In 2016, we worked with an Aboriginal organisation whose members are from the stolen generation, to plan for the best use of a parcel of an important land that was returned to them. The terms of a funding agreement with the Indigenous Land Council was that any land use had to be that of a sustainable business model, with sister Kate’s being committed to the healing work for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, particularly those of the stolen generation. We developed a business plan in consultation with the team at Sister Kate’s that allowed them to meet both objectives in a respectful and creative manner.Project Details
