Project Description

The report is designed to encourage discussion around helping individuals with a mental illness or substance abuse issue find, and retain employment in supportive environments. The paper suggests that social enterprises may be a most efficient and impactful mechanism for achieving employment outcomes for these individuals.

Case studies on how social enterprises are effectively providing jobs for people with a mental illness are included from Substation 33, Toowoomba Clubhouse, and Nundah Community Enterprise Co-Operative.
