Project description
In 2016, we worked with an Aboriginal organisation whose members are from the stolen generation, to plan for the best use of an important parcel of land that was returned to them. Sister Kate’s was committed to conducting healing work for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, particularly those of the stolen generation. The terms of a funding agreement with the Indigenous Land Council was that land use fees had to be funded by a sustainable business model. We developed a business plan with the team at Sister Kate’s that allowed them to meet both objectives in a respectful and creative manner.
