Who is Jane?

Jane is a chartered accountant with over 25 years’ senior audit, consulting and commercial experience in Australia, the UK and France. Her experience extends across a broad range of sectors including government (local and state), utilities, manufacturing and services with a particular focus on business improvement, corporate restructure and transformation.

Jane has always been passionate about social issues. Her keen interest in growing the impact investing market in Australia was further ignited when she led a number of health and social services innovation projects as part of Queensland Government’s better services for Queensland program.

As Acting Assistant Director-General responsible for Queensland Government procurement, Jane was an active player in building awareness on the importance of social procurement as a mechanism for government to support better social and economic outcomes, particularly in relation to ‘wicked problems’. In this role, she also worked closely with Queensland’s Mental Health Commissioner to establish a role dedicated to improving Queensland Government’s social procurement outcomes and headed up the delivery of two highly successful Social Procurement forums in Brisbane and Cairns.

Her strength in seeking to understand complex social issues to determine achievable and sustainable outcomes for people, further adds to the capability of the Social Outcome’s team.
